Some people live one remarkable life. James T. Hollin, Jr. has already lived several. Born in Tuskegee, Alabama during the historic training of the Tuskegee Airmen, he grew up in a household where service was simply how you lived. After earning a B.S. in aerospace engineering on scholarship, he entered the U.S. Air Force and flew combat missions over Vietnam as a Forward Air Controller. What followed was a life that resists a single headline - thirty-one years as a Delta Air Lines pilot retiring as a Boeing 777 captain, a law degree earned while flying commercially, civil rights law in Georgia, and a current practice as a registered patent attorney helping inventors bring new ideas into the world.

He volunteers with the Atlanta Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., mentoring minority youth pursuing aviation careers. Earth First! is his second book. His third is in progress.
